Tribhuvan University (TU)


Tribhuvan University (TU) is the main national organization of advanced education in Nepal. It was set up in 1959 A.D. The Central Administrative Office and the Central Campus of the college are situated on the north eastern veneer of Kirtipur, an old and residential area found five kilometers far from Kathmandu downtown area. There are 38 focal offices and 4 explore focuses in TU, and out of them 31 divisions and 3 inquire about focuses are situated at Kirtipur. The college at Kirtipur is spread over a territory of 154.77 hectares (3042-5-2 ropanis).

After the second law based development of 2006, the Prime Minister of Nepal is the formal boss, the Chancellor of the University, though the Minister of Education is the Pro-Chancellor. The Vice Chancellor is the Chief Executive of the college. He is helped by the Rector in scholastic projects and the Registrar in money related administration and general organization.

Tribhuvan University is a non-benefit making independent organization subsidized by the Government of Nepal. On January 8, 2013, the administration of Nepal has mainly consented to pronounce Tribhuvan University as the Central University.
